Top 4 Places to Get Soup in Morgantown

It’s soup season, and someone asked me, “Where can my friend get good soup around here?” And I was stumped because there’s no specific “soup” restaurant here. But! There are great cafes and restaurants. So we took to the monthly Foodie Talk Facebook Group polls. Here’s what we came up with:

#4 Rising Creek 2 Tutto Gelato

8% of Votes

Rising Creek is located in Mount Morris, PA. But Rising Creek 2 is located right here in Morgantown, WV, with gelato offerings, to boot! Aside from gelato ice cream, the Morgantown shop is known for its soups and sandwiches, so it’s a no-brainer that this was a popular choice for voters.

#3 Von Blaze (Ramen Night)

12% of Votes

Once a month Von Blaze hosts a Wakaba Ramen takeover that sells out almost immediately... like in less than 2 minutes. Unfortunately, I’ve never been to this takeover but the fact that tickets for this sell like hotcakes gives you all the reason you need to know that this sandwich shop’s ramen takeovers land at #3 on the list.

#2 Yama Japanese Restaurant

20% of Votes

One of my first posts for The Morgantown Dish and an authentic little spot in downtown Morgantown! I first went for a working lunch, and the next time it was a cold rainy day so I knew where I was headed to warm me up. I just had to get some ramen for lunch. Yama hit the spot. Everything was hot, tasted great and the woman who took my order was extremely friendly and attentive. She said the line was out the door for Ramen that day. I don’t blame anyone!

#1 Saigon Pho

31% of Votes

A Morgantown favorite and one of the few places for pho, Saigon Pho is the perfect place for you to hit that craving. They have an extensive menu of flavors, heat index, and spices, all digital so you can take a grand old time perusing the options and adding your toppings at the bar once served.
