about
Hi! I'm Christina. Your Morgantown foodie friend. I moved here in 2019 have since fallen in love with West Virginia, its mountain landscape, the local community vibe, and Appalachian food and culture.
The Mission
The Morgantown Dish is all about finding the best in our community. While my content often showcases the bright side, it's driven by a genuine mission to support and celebrate local businesses. To stay authentic, I only share about food and restaurants I truly enjoy.
With over 150 local restaurants in Morgantown, I have a few on my "never-ever" list, but I choose not to share negative experiences. Instead, I focus on highlighting the incredible dining spots that make our community special.
I hope you enjoy following along as much as I enjoy tasting everything.

I do not inform restaurants before I visit! I want my photos to be as authentic as possible, including how the food arrives on the plate. I will fill spaces, for example, if I snag a fry from the plate before I take a photo or if items need to be pushed together for a close angle shot.
-
I plan ahead for the next 2-3 restaurants that I want two write in the paper about. Sometimes, I don't make it there and have to reorganize my list. If it's on Instagram, anything goes. I might be with friends, running errands, or stopping at one of my faves. There are so many restaurants to try - you tell me!

Yes, please! Send me a DM on Instagram with your suggested restaurant, or join the Foodie Talk Facebook Group and give me a shout out. I am also open to polling the Facebook group. For example, to find out where the best burger in town is.

The majority of my reviews are based on my tastes alone. However, I will take partnerships with local organizations or larger chains. I will always disclose if something is a paid partnership in an obvious manner. If I do not like the product, event, or food, it will not be posted.
