Brunch every day at the new cupcakerie cafe & Frose

The Cupcakerie Moved, and It’s Your New Brunch Spot

Brunch every day, you say? It’s true at The Cupcakerie’s new cafe spot with a full menu and frosé on tap.

I’ll start with a moment for their classic cupcakes. I normally don’t like cake but these little pops of joy are moist, sweet, and the perfect pick-me-up for you or if you need to gift something sweet. Even after a few days, I’ve tried their minis, and even the little ones are still moist.

The Cupcakerie Cafe & Frosé moved the original bakery from Willie Street and recently opened with a full menu at 3200 Collins Ferry Road, to the left of Suncrest Pub or nearby Lefty’s.

The space is gorgeous! The decor is thoughtfully noted, down to the gold-plated silverware. There is a small outdoor patio to soak up some fresh air.

The extra at the end of their name, frosé, is quite simply frozen rosé wine. While freezing changes the taste of the wine, many other places that serve this drink load sugar into their mix. From taste alone, I believe that Cupcakerie Cafe & Frose doesn’t! They do add flavor, though. My server let me try all eight different flavors on tap. The winners on my palette were a bit sweeter, but not saccharine: cherry lime, fruit punch, pina colada, and my favorite was the classic strawberry.

The menu is perfect for a ladies' brunch day or family stop. I couldn’t resist the croque madam, which I’ve only ever had elsewhere at Von Blaze (also amazing). The Cupcakerie Cafe serves this cheesy, savory breakfast melt smothered with WV brewery Big Timber beer cheese and has smoked ham, cheddar, and a sunny side-up egg on sourdough. I had to fight my appetite and not order the apple stack cakes too, which also sounded delicious: sausage or bacon, buckwheat cakes, roasted apples, cinnamon, bourbon maple syrup and smoked butter.

Not only breakfast and brunch fare, you can find other menu options that are more lunch and dinner-focused - salads, soups, and sandwiches including hoagies, clubs, and melts. Several dinner options are also available featuring items like lamb and risotto.

Finally, the desserts go way beyond cupcakes. There is a cheesecake of the week and a flourless chocolate cake. I chose the Chocolate Pot de Crème, similar to a mousse, with smoked peanuts and date caramel. Delicious!

In closing, I’m calling my girlfriends to meet me here next. Brunch is served daily from 10am to 2pm, and you can stay later Tuesday through Saturday until 7p. Let’s eat!
